Is Pidurangala better than Sigiriya for sunrise photos?

For photography, Pidurangala is the superior choice because it gives you a stunning eye level view of Sigiriya Rock as the sun rises behind it. The entrance fee is also much lower, around five dollars compared to thirty five for Sigiriya. However, Sigiriya is essential for the archaeological experience, the frescoes, and the mirror wall. My advice is to do Pidurangala for sunrise and then visit Sigiriya later in the morning.
