Unfortunately the main Sigiriya rock fortress is absolutely not wheelchair accessible. Reaching the summit requires climbing roughly 1200 very steep uneven and often incredibly narrow stone and metal stairs built directly into the cliff face.

However the beautiful sprawling Royal Water Gardens located at the base of the rock are relatively flat and mostly accessible. He can easily explore the ancient brick foundations and water pools from the ground level while enjoying a stunning view of the massive rock looming above.
