Jaffna is deeply conservative and culturally very different from the southern beach towns so wild clubbing nightlife simply does not exist there. The streets become incredibly quiet shortly after 8 PM.

However you can still have a great evening. The rooftop bar at Jetwing Jaffna is spectacular offering cold beers and panoramic views of the city. Also visiting Rio Ice Cream late at night is a massive local tradition and stays packed with families until 11 PM.
