Kandy to ella train delayed again?? Anyone on it today?
Supposed to leave at 8:30 but heard it's running late. Anyone here who took it recently? How bad are the delays this week?

Yeah it's been 45min to 1.5hrs late most days this week. The track work or something. Still worth it tho, views are insane. Just don't have tight connections after.
My guests took it yesterday, arrived Ella around 4 instead of 2:30. They said it was still beautiful, just bring snacks and patience lol.
Scam Watch: kandy
TukTuk or tour drivers take you to "gem museums" or "government-certified" gem shops. They receive huge commissions (up to 40%) on anything you buy. Prices are inflated 3-10x the actual value.
Men approach tourists near Temple of the Tooth offering to be guides. After the tour, they demand large "donations" or guide fees (5000-10000 LKR).
