I want to catch the sunset from the Nelligala International Buddhist Center near Kandy, then grab a famous kottu and find a rooftop bar. Any recommendations.

Nelligala offers the best 360 degree panoramic sunset views of the central highlands. Once back in Kandy town, the Kandy Muslim Hotel is iconic for its roasted beef kottu and hot samosas. For drinks afterward, head to Slightly Chilled Lounge. It is a famous backpacker rooftop bar overlooking the Kandy Lake, perfect for a relaxed evening.

Just a heads up, Kandy is a holy city and shuts down very early compared to Colombo or the south coast. Enjoy the rooftop beers, but do not expect a wild 3 AM clubbing scene.
