Photography workshops or tours in Sri Lanka - worth it?
I'm a serious photographer. Are there good workshops or guided photo tours that go beyond the usual tourist spots?

There are some excellent local photographers offering workshops, especially in Colombo, Galle, and the hill country. They can take you to lesser-known locations, teach about local light and conditions, and help with cultural access. Look for ones run by Sri Lankan photographers rather than big tour companies. It's a great way to go deeper than standard sightseeing and meet like-minded people. Check recent reviews and portfolios before booking.
Will look for local photographer-led ones. Sounds like a good way to access hidden spots.
