We are taking a break from tea estates to visit Lake Gregory. Are the nearby strawberry farms open for tourists to pick their own fruit, and what is the best farm to visit.

Yes! Jagro and Adma Agro are the two most famous strawberry farms in Nuwara Eliya. While they do not always let you walk into the greenhouses to pick your own due to hygiene and plant care rules, their attached cafes are phenomenal. You absolutely must try the fresh strawberry pancakes and the strawberry pizza. They are just a short tuk tuk ride from Lake Gregory.

The strawberry milkshakes at Jagro are insanely good. It is the perfect treat after walking all the way around the lake in the cold mountain air.
