You cannot safely operate a DSLR while actively abseiling down the main drop of Bambarakanda. The water pressure and spray are immense, and you need both hands for rope management. Professional adventure photographers usually rig a static line next to the waterfall and shoot from a hanging harness using an underwater housing. For participants, stick to a GoPro mounted securely to your helmet.

If you have a drone, have a friend launch it from the pine forest at the base. The aerial shots of someone descending that massive 263-meter drop look spectacular.
