I am staying in Midigama but partying at Lamana in Ahangama tonight Is it safe to walk between the two towns late at night considering the stray dogs

Absolutely NOT safe to walk that route at 3 AM. The Galle road is unlit in sections, speeding night buses are lethal, and the stray dog packs become highly territorial at night. They will aggressively bark and occasionally nip at people walking alone in the dark. Always pay 500 LKR for a tuk-tuk waiting outside the club.

Yes, there is always a line of them waiting when the main beach bars close. Negotiate the price before you get in.

If a dog does bite you, it is a major health concern. Wash the wound for 15 minutes and go to Karapitiya hospital for Rabies shots.
