Some spots like Unawatuna and parts of Weligama can feel busy in peak times but there's still lots of quieter beaches and areas if you go a little further or choose the right spot. Not as packed as some places in Thailand. Depends where exactly you are. Hiriketiya or further south still pretty chill.

I was in Hiriketiya this week, still felt pretty relaxed. Unawatuna more lively but not crazy.

Yeah popular areas busier but easy to find peaceful spots. Still way more relaxed than many destinations.
