I want to stay on a working tea estate for a night or two. Any recommendations that aren't just tourist hotels pretending to be estates?

Good options: 'Tea Trails' (Ceylon Tea Trails) has beautiful restored bungalows on working estates with excellent food and guided walks. '97 Acres' or smaller estate bungalows near Nuwara Eliya and Hatton also offer authentic stays. Look for places where you can actually see plucking and processing happening nearby. Some smaller family estates offer very genuine experiences if you ask around locally.

Tea Trails is the most polished but excellent. For something more rustic and local, ask in Nuwara Eliya or Ella for estate bungalows that take guests.
