Most people only do a day trip to Delft Island. We want to stay overnight, explore the completely empty coral beaches, and drink local arrack. Are there actual guesthouses on the island.

Staying overnight is the best way to experience Delft! Once the last ferry leaves at 3:30 PM, the island empties out and you have the coral beaches and wild horses all to yourself. There are a handful of basic guesthouses, like the Delft Samudra. They can arrange dinner and procure local Palmyrah Arrack for you to enjoy a quiet, isolated night under the stars.

Do not swim at the southern beaches of Delft. The currents are extremely dangerous and there are sharp coral shelves everywhere. Stick to the designated northern beach areas.

The stars out there are unreal because there is zero light pollution. Bring a bottle of Rockland Arrack from the mainland just in case the local spots run out.
