We are planning to hike to Worlds End in Horton Plains. Are there any strict rules about what we can bring into the park.

Yes, Horton Plains has the strictest anti-plastic rules in the country. At the entrance, guards will thoroughly search your bags. You CANNOT bring any single-use plastics, including water bottles with plastic wrappers (they will rip the labels off), plastic bags, or snack wrappers. You must transfer your snacks into paper bags or reusable containers before arriving.

Also, do not feed the Sambar deer! They hang around the entrance begging for food.

Absolutely not. Drones are strictly banned in all National Parks without heavy permit fees.

They actually give you a paper bag at the gate to transfer your cookies into. It is a great system.
