I love the brutalist polished concrete architecture of the boutique hotels around Hiriketiya bay. Do these stylish spots host electronic music events right on the beach or is it strictly quiet wellness vibes.

Hiriketiya is the perfect blend of both. Places like Salt House and Dots Bay House utilize that polished cement tropical modernism aesthetic flawlessly. While they are wellness focused by day, Dots Bay House is famous for transforming its open air courtyard into a lively party venue with live bands and guest DJs on weekends.

You should also check out Smoke and Bitters nearby in Pehebiya. Incredible architecture and easily the best cocktail bar on the island.

The open plan concrete design actually makes the acoustics amazing for DJ nights. The sound bounces beautifully without getting trapped.

Just do not expect massive EDM raves there. The music curation in Hiriketiya is very strictly melodic, deep house, and indie electronic to match the upscale aesthetic.
