Yes, look for homestays in Poonagala village. It is located at the top of the falls, making the hike to the upper pools a flat 30-minute walk rather than a grueling climb from the bottom.

We stayed in Poonagala. The hosts packed us fresh roti and sambol for our picnic at the pools.

Be careful near the edge of the pools. The rocks are slippery and there are no guardrails.
