Driver left the van on William Gopallawa at 6 with a WhatsApp pin and went to watch. Pin still shows a grey building. Cones have moved. Police this afternoon were warning about vehicles left unattended. Walk 15 minutes and hope it is still there, or is "corridor" a polite word for tow.

Official parking is the 13 published parks, not "the grey building at 6pm." If you left it on the corridor, go now. ASP Wootler's warning today was negligent parking / theft, not a Perahera-specific tow gazette - still go look.

Gopallawa was the published Colombo-side corridor, not a 13-park bay. A van left on the corridor since 6 is exactly the unattended-vehicle story police flagged today. Walk there. Do not wait for a tow SMS that will not come. If it is gone, 119 / season hotline 081 22 33 333 / the Perahera police map - not a Facebook group.

Ours was still there at 9.20 with a police whistle guy next to it, not a crane. We still walked. The pin had drifted twenty metres because cones moved.

Walking to the pin now. Not waiting for a tow SMS.
