I want to see actual tea pluckers working and visit a factory that's still operating, not just a tourist show. Any recommendations?

Pedro Estate and Glenloch Tea Factory still operate commercially and welcome visitors for proper tours (not just the big tourist factories). You can sometimes see pluckers in the fields early morning. 'Lipton's Seat' viewpoint is nearby and beautiful, though the factory there is more tourist-oriented now.

Early morning (before 9am) is best to see actual plucking happening. Most factories stop tours by 4pm. Ask your driver to take you to smaller estates off the main tourist route for a more authentic experience.
