Stage one from Hanthana to Galaha is incredibly scenic and relatively easy for beginners. The paths are wide, clearly marked, and offer spectacular views over Kandy without being overly steep.

Stage two is also fantastic for casual hikers. It winds through beautifully manicured, lush green tea estates. You will see plenty of local life and the terrain is very manageable.
