What time does the ticket office open for the Pidurangala sunrise hike?

The ticket office at the Pidurangala temple base opens at 5:00 AM. It takes about 30 to 45 minutes to reach the summit depending on your fitness level. To get the best spot for the sunrise over Sigiriya rock, you should be at the gate right when it opens. Bring a headlamp as the boulder section at the top is completely dark.
