The 2026 Kandy Esala Perahera is tentatively scheduled for August. The Kumbal Perahera usually starts mid month, with the grand Randoli Perahera culmination on the full moon night of August 28, 2026. It is highly recommended to book your accommodation and balcony seats at least three months in advance as Kandy gets completely full during this period.
