I am traveling to the North next week. Is late April too early to find the famous Karutha Kolumban mangoes in the local markets.

You are arriving at the perfect time. The Karutha Kolumban mango season kicks off in late April and peaks in May. You will find them abundantly in the Jaffna market right now. They are renowned for their incredibly sweet, fiberless flesh. Make sure to buy a few slightly green ones if you plan to travel back to Colombo with them.
