Are the masks sold in Kandy shops high quality or are they mass-produced? Where can I buy a real one?

The real ones come from the village of Ambalangoda on the coast. Anything in Kandy is likely mass-produced for tourists. If you want a genuine, hand-carved mask made of Kaduru wood, go to the mask museum in Ambalangoda.
