Where to find authentic Dutch Burgher Lamprais in Colombo?
I really want to try authentic Lamprais (rice and mixed meat baked in a banana leaf). Most places seem to just sell normal rice and curry wrapped in a leaf. Where is the real deal?

You are right, 90% of restaurants sell fake Lamprais. Authentic Lamprais must have mixed meat (traditionally beef, pork, and mutton), frikkadel (meatballs), blachan, and seeni sambol, all baked together. Go to the "Dutch Burgher Union" (DBU) in Colombo 04. They sell the most authentic one in the country.
DBU it is! I have been craving this since I read about the history. Thanks.
I had the one at Green Cabin. It was phenomenal. Be warned, it is very heavy and rich!
"VOC Cafe" at the Dutch Burgher Union is excellent. Also, "Green Cabin" in Colombo makes a very traditional, highly respected Lamprais.
If you want a chicken-only version (even though it isn't strictly traditional), "Fab" bakeries sell a decent quick version for lunch.
