Are drones allowed in Peradeniya Botanical Gardens.
1 Answer from travellers
No operating any type of drone including tiny recreational models is absolutely strictly strictly prohibited everywhere inside the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens. The massive park contains incredibly rare highly sensitive bird species and massive roosting colonies of thousands of giant fruit bats hanging from the tall trees. The loud high pitched buzzing of a drone instantly terrifies and aggressively disrupts the wildlife. The park security guards patrol constantly and will rapidly confiscate your drone and issue a massive fine if you attempt to launch one.
