Uppuveli has a fantastic seafood scene. Fernandos Bar right on the beach is legendary for serving excellent grilled fish and prawns while you sit with your toes in the sand.

Crab Seafood Restaurant in Uppuveli town is also highly recommended. They serve massive portions of fresh lagoon crab cooked in authentic spicy Sri Lankan curry sauces.
