I am booking the 100ft Sandun Ella waterfall abseil tomorrow. My muscles are going to be destroyed. Are there any authentic Ayurvedic recovery spots right in Kitulgala.

Kitulgala is heavily focused on adrenaline, so luxury wellness spots are rare. However, the Moksha Eco Lodge just outside town offers fantastic traditional deep tissue herbal oil massages specifically aimed at post rafting and abseiling recovery. Book in advance.

Honestly, if you want a proper clinical Ayurvedic treatment, take the two hour drive back toward Avissawella or Colombo. Kitulgala is great for adventure but the spas are very basic.
