If you want quiet but still want to be near Main Point you need to look slightly inland Walk 5 minutes away from the beach road towards the lagoon Look for places like Upali Beach Surf Resort or small family run spots on the cross streets They are much quieter and cheaper
Most basic homestays are fan only Make sure you message them to confirm if you absolutely need AC
The inland spots also serve way better breakfast Traditional coconut roti instead of overpriced toast
Avoid any place directly on the sand if you want to sleep The bass from the beach clubs vibrates the wooden cabanas until 4 AM
