Walk slightly away from the main temple entrance towards the Biyagama road. There are several small, bustling local eateries known as hotels serving incredibly fresh, cheap, and spicy rice and curry on banana leaves.

If you want amazing vegetarian food, look for the small sweet shops near the flower stalls outside the temple. They sell fantastic traditional snacks like fresh aggala and hot wade.
