Should I take a local bus or hire a taxi when landing at midnight to get to my hotel in Negombo beach?

At midnight, buses are not operational. Take an official airport taxi or order a PickMe app car. Negombo is actually closer to the airport than Colombo center, taking only about 20 minutes via taxi.

Expect to pay roughly 3,500 to 4,500 LKR for a private car to Negombo hotel areas. Do not accept unregulated street drivers shouting inside the arrival hall terminal.
