Can I survive two weeks on a Wise card or do I still need a brick of cash?
Hate carrying cash. Hotels take Visa, but hoppers? Tuk-tuks? Is LankaPay / LankaQR a tourist thing or just locals? CBSL was doing a digital-payments roadshow in Jaffna this month??

Mid/upscale hotels, supermarkets, Dialog, many Colombo restaurants take cards. Village kades, buses, most tuks, small temples: cash. LankaQR / LankaPay is real for locals. Tourists rarely set it up in a week. eZ Cash is more of a local wallet. Always have a day of cash. Card machines here die when the wifi blinks.
Wise debit plus LKR from Commercial Bank ATMs was the combo. Card failed twice in Ella when the power blinked.
We take cash LKR. When I say the card machine is down I mean the wifi is down.
