Yes, the local public bus network is operating completely normally. The fuel crisis that caused disruptions a few years ago is entirely resolved, and buses have full access to diesel nationwide.

Both the red government CTB buses and the private blue and white buses run incredibly frequently on all major routes. You will never have to wait long to catch a bus between cities like Colombo, Kandy, or Galle.
