Extra key if one of us walks to the station at 11 - host asleep or we take the only set
One of us wants the station recce (other thread). One of us is in bed. There is one key. Host has gone quiet. Do we take the only set to the railway at 11 and lock the sleeper in, WhatsApp him for a spare, or cancel the walk because a 23:00 second key is a fantasy.

Do not take the only key on a 23:00 recce. The sleeper cannot get out for a bathroom and cannot get back in if they panic. Spare keys at 22:55 are not something I can swear exists in this house - WhatsApp once. If no spare, nobody walks. Station board at dawn is the other thread.
Wootler today was unattended vehicles, not keys, but a single key in a dark lane is how you stand on the step at 00:30 (other thread). Cancel the walk.
