I'm traveling with my partner and need to work sometimes. Are there any places with decent WiFi that also welcome families or have childcare nearby?

Most co-working spaces in Ahangama and Galle are adult-focused, but some larger hotels and resorts have business centers or quiet lounges while offering kids clubs or babysitting. In Ella, some guesthouses with gardens work well if one parent watches the child while the other works. It's still quite rare to find true family co-working setups. Many digital nomad families end up renting a place with good WiFi and one parent works while the other handles childcare, or they alternate. Ask in nomad Facebook groups for current parent-friendly recommendations.

We found a guesthouse in Weligama that had a quiet corner and the owner was happy for us to work while our toddler played in the garden. Not official co-working but it worked.
