Family group is pinging are you safe after the TV crowd shots - what do I even send them
Mum in London, cousin in Colombo, both watching something that still looks like "takes to the streets." Ada has not posted an ending. They think we are in a crush. We are on a step eating a biscuit. One photo of the hotel gate, or a lecture about timestamps.

Pin + a photo of the gate or the room. "Procession is home, we are in, Ada's item is the 6.40 start, not a disaster." Do not argue with a cousin about CMS timestamps. They will calm down when they see a ceiling fan.
There is still no injury / stampede item on Ada, Newsfirst, Newswire, or Daily Mirror at 9.40. "Are you safe" is what families send when a crowd is on TV. Answer the human question. Skip the media analysis.
We sent a blurry shoe photo and "eating biscuits." It worked better than a news link.
Scam Watch: colombo
Driver claims the meter is broken and quotes an inflated flat rate. Common on arrival at airport or railway stations when tourists are tired and disoriented.
Drivers wearing official-looking uniforms claim to be "government-approved" and charge 3-5x normal rates. They may have fake badges or ID cards.
Women with babies approach asking you to buy milk powder at a nearby shop (not cash). The shop is run by accomplices and charges 5-10x normal price.
