Finding the secret Ella Rock trails away from the main tourist crowds

There is a secondary much wilder route that approaches Ella Rock from the back side starting near the Ravana Falls area rather than Kithalella station However it is an unmarked steep scramble through thick jungle and tall grass It is a genuine adventure but you MUST hire a local village guide to do it If you try it alone using GPS you will get lost
