Flying into Colombo, 10 days total. Proposed: 2 Colombo, 3 south coast (Galle/Hiriketiya), 2 Ella, 2 Sigiriya, 1 back to Colombo. Too rushed? Missing anything important?

It's a classic first-timer route but quite rushed. Drop one night in Colombo at the end and add it to Ella or Sigiriya. Also consider swapping one south coast night for Mirissa or Weligama if you want whale watching or better surf vibe. The Cultural Triangle needs at least 3 full days minimum.

Add at least one wildlife day. Even a half-day at Udawalawe or Minneriya makes a huge difference. Sri Lanka's wildlife is world-class.

Your route is solid but I would do Ella before Sigiriya so you can do the train journey in the right direction (Kandy to Ella is more scenic than reverse).

With kids, I would base longer in one or two places rather than moving every 2 days. The constant packing and long drives get tiring fast.

Great feedback. Adjusting to 3 nights south, 3 Ella, 3 Sigiriya area. Thanks!
