A few cafes and smaller co-working style spaces in the Fort have been getting good feedback for WiFi and atmosphere this week. Some of the newer or renovated places have invested in better connections. If you need reliable internet, it might be worth visiting a couple in the morning and seeing which one feels best for your work style. Some also have outdoor or quieter corners if you prefer less noise. The Fort has enough options now that you can find something that suits. This week has been pretty good for work-friendly spots with decent WiFi.

Someone befriends you and offers a "once in a lifetime" opportunity to buy gems at wholesale prices and resell them abroad for huge profit. They may show you fake export certificates. The gems are worthless glass or low-quality stones.
Restaurants without visible prices. Bill arrives with inflated charges (500 LKR coconut becomes 1500 LKR). "Service charges" added without disclosure.
