Yes! Jaffna homestay hosts are incredibly proud of their unique northern culture. Look for places slightly outside the busy city center, near Nallur. Ask them to cook you Jaffna Crab Curry or Kool (a traditional seafood broth). It is a much more intimate, raw cultural experience than staying in the commercial hotels downtown.
