Yes, absolutely true! Wood Apple (Divul) is an elephant absolute favorite food. They can smell the pungent, sweet aroma from miles away. If you leave shells or fruit scraps in the garden, a wild elephant will very likely smash through the homestay fence at night to get it. Always dispose of them securely indoors.
