Kandy courtyard, plants in saucers, gutter dripping from today's spells. They pulled island-wide dengue control yesterday and token-striked today. Kid has a mosquito bite that looks like a bite. I am not asking the 93,000 question again. I am asking whether this verandah tonight is a bad idea.

Empty the saucer, ask them to tip the gutter, cream the kid, sit if you want. A verandah is not a breeding site; the saucer is. Kandy's year-to-date caseload is real (6,726 as of the 20 Aug NDCU table) but it is not "one bite on a tiled floor."

Repellent at dusk is still the whole sport, strike or no strike.
