Socks are still wet from the kerb - anywhere in KMC that actually sells a dry pair in the morning

Socks have been wet since the squeeze. Hotel has no spare. Not asking for a 9.15 pharmacy for the heels - that was the other couple. Asking whether Kandy town / KMC in the morning is a real sock shop or a closed-for-Perahera Saturday.

Dry them on a chair tonight if you can. If they are wrecked, morning inland shop. No official "KMC sock desk." Do not invent a 9am opening gazette.

Saturday morning inland of the lake - not Dalada - is when the ordinary shops open. KMC market / the streets behind the municipal block are the cheap cotton. Do not expect the route-front souvenir shops to be a clothing store at 8am. Buy before you sit the 6.28 kerb, not at 5pm.

We got a three-pack at a supermarket inland, not at the lake. Saturday morning was normal enough. Dalada itself was already thinking about the next night.
