Hotel WhatsApp is dead and the street is still cones - can reception even get to us
We told the hotel "we will walk back after." Signal is one bar. Their last message is 5.41pm "roads closing, we cannot send a boy." We are on the lake side of a tape. Do they actually come out when the elephants go home or do we sleep on a step until the cones disappear.

Reception cannot drive onto Dalada until police unwind. They also cannot always walk a bag of keys through a packed route. Pin a junction outside the tape and walk to it. If you are already inside, stay with the crowd flow toward your street; do not wait for a staff member who is legally on the wrong side of a block.
Our host met us at a pharmacy two streets back at 10.15. That was the deal. The "we will come to the lake" promise dies at 4pm this week.
Screenshot the last WhatsApp. If you have a paper key, you do not need them. If you have a digital lock and no signal, that is when you find a uniform and ask for the tourist-assistance point.
