The standard tipping etiquette for a hired private driver in Sri Lanka is about 1500 to 2500 LKR per day. For a ten day tour with excellent service and safe driving, handing the driver a total tip of 15000 to 20000 LKR at the end of the trip is highly appreciated and customary.
