If a passport vanishes after a Kumbal night - is the British High Commission even open Saturday or do we sit until Monday
UK. Room safe was a joke. Flight is Wednesday. A friend lost his wallet after last night's 3rd Kumbal and now I am spiralling about the passport. Google says Bauddhaloka Mawatha, closed weekends, appointment only. Do we police-report tonight if something actually goes. Can we get an emergency travel document before the flight or are we buying a week of hotel.

Tonight: police report at the station (tourist police if you can), cancel the mental picture of a Saturday visa hall. Apply online for a UK emergency travel document and use the BHC contact form / emergency path. The building at 389 Bauddhaloka Mawatha is not a drop-in on Saturday. If you are not British, your own mission's emergency number is the move - same "not a weekend counter" pattern.
Friend did this in June. Police report Friday, ETD appointment Tuesday, flew Thursday. Start the form at 6am, not Monday.
Photocopy / phone photo of the bio page is gold. Immigration and airlines like paper.
Police report tonight, form in the morning. Not walking into Bauddhaloka on Saturday.
