Is Heritance Kandalama suitable for photography during the rainy season?
I want to see the famous Geoffrey Bawa architecture. Does the jungle setting look good when it is misty or should I wait for sunny weather.

Actually the misty rainy weather is when Kandalama looks its most magical. Bawa designed the hotel to blend into the rock and the forest. On rainy days the greenery turns a deep vibrant emerald and the mist rolling over the Kandalama tank creates a surreal atmosphere for photography. The infinity pool looks particularly stunning when it reflects the gray skies.
The rain also brings out the local wildlife like monkeys and exotic birds which seek shelter under the hotel overhangs. Just be careful with your camera gear as the humidity can be quite high inside the corridors which are open to the elements.
