Is it hard to drive a manual tuk tuk for beginners.
We want to rent one. Are the gears difficult to learn if I only drive automatic cars.

Driving a manual tuk tuk is actually quite easy to learn, even if you only drive automatic cars. The gear shifting is done entirely with your left hand on the handlebar, similar to a classic Vespa scooter.
The clutch is a lever you squeeze with your left hand, and you twist the entire grip up or down to change gears. It takes about an hour of practice in an empty parking lot to get the muscle memory down.
The hardest part for beginners is not the gears, but mastering the braking. The foot brake controls all three wheels simultaneously and requires a very gentle touch to avoid skidding. Reputable rental companies will give you a comprehensive driving lesson before you leave.
