We want to see the golden temple and the caves but we are concerned about the number of steps. Are there places to rest and how long does the walk take.

The climb takes about fifteen to twenty minutes at a steady pace. It is a paved staircase rather than a rough trail. There are several landings where you can stop to catch your breath and enjoy the view over the plains. The stairs can be slippery when wet, so take care. Once you reach the top, the cave complex itself is flat and easy to navigate. Visit in the early morning or late afternoon to avoid the sun.
