I heard it is at the very back of the train. Is it worth the extra money.

The observation carriage is located at the very rear of the train and features a massive glass window looking directly back at the receding tracks. While the view is unique, it is air conditioned, meaning the side windows do not open at all. For most tourists, the second class reserved carriage is significantly better because you can open the windows wide, feel the mountain air, and take clear photographs without glare from dirty glass.
