Jaffna in 3 days - what should I not miss?
Heading to Jaffna for the first time. I have 3 full days. Must-see places, best local food, and any cultural etiquette I should know?

Don't miss: Nallur Kovil (especially if there's a festival), Jaffna Fort, Point Pedro lighthouse, and a day trip to Delft Island to see the wild ponies and coral houses. For food, try 'Jaffna crab curry' at any good local place and the famous 'Jaffna kool' (seafood soup). Dress modestly at temples and remove shoes.
The best Jaffna food is actually in small family-run places, not the tourist restaurants. Ask locals for recommendations each day - they love sharing their cuisine.
We loved the train ride up from Anuradhapura - very scenic once you pass Vavuniya. Book a reserved seat.
