Kandy station board at 11 - readable now or only a 5am window we already know is split
Companion to the walk. If we go to the station at 11, is there actually a lit board / a person / a Saturday consist we can photograph, or is 23:00 a dark facade and the only honest information is still "Ditwah split, confirm at dawn." Partner wants a photo so we can stop arguing in the room.

I cannot swear whether Kandy station's board or ticket window is staffed at 23:00 on 21 Aug. Treat 23:00 as likely dark. Ada's railway item today is online season tickets for private-sector staff from September, not a 22 Aug restoration. Traveler picture through July/Aug 2026 remains the split: Kandy-Nanu Oya closed; upper scenic piece running further up. A photo of a dark board does not settle an argument. Confirm in the morning.
Do not send one person with the only key (other thread) for a dark photo. Sleep. Dawn is when a human might exist.
11pm photo was a shutter. 6am had a person who said there was no through Ella. That was the answer.

TukTuk or tour drivers take you to "gem museums" or "government-certified" gem shops. They receive huge commissions (up to 40%) on anything you buy. Prices are inflated 3-10x the actual value.
Men approach tourists near Temple of the Tooth offering to be guides. After the tour, they demand large "donations" or guide fees (5000-10000 LKR).
